The pedal gives you the possibilities of bypass, clean boost, crunch, crunch with boost, boost alone, and gain 2 which is lead, gain 2 + boost, gain 1 and gain 2, gain 1 + gain 2 + boost.

Panel Features
Channel One will give you a clean boost. Channel Two, with more Gain than Channel One, will result in a crunch tone. For more distortion turn up either Gain 1 or Gain 2, but remember to turn the volume down to balance your by-pass volume. If you wish for even more, the Boost control is there at every setting – just switch it in and adjust to the amount you want.

The D.C. Developments Overdrive Special pedal by Denis Cornell has a wide range of tones that can be used from clean boost to large amounts of distortion. The Overdrive Special operates as a dual mode distortion / overdrive pedal that has an additional boost mode that can be used to drive either of the two channels for a total of four actual modes.

For more experienced guitarists, the pedal works nicely in conjunction with the guitar volume pot, so those crunch tones can be achieved by adjusting the guitar volume pot back slightly before setting up the pedal gain. The Cornell Overdrive Special is very touch sensitive and responds to the guitar's volume control well. The Overdrive special operates on 9VDC and offers true bypass switching, is housed in a polished stainless steel housing, and has a classic look & feel with the chickenhead knobs.

Whatever style of music you play, the Cornell-Overdrive Special has all you need for guitar lead playing.
